Gallery of Hermosa Show “Discoveries”

The Gallery of Hermosa’s new show is called ‘Discoveries’ and it includes images from two PADA photographers. One image is Tim Truby’s “Doorway Mandala, Nanzenjin Temple,” and two others are Jim Knauf’s “Milky Way, Queen Valley” and “Ocotillo, Lightning, and Moonlight.” The exhibit opens with a reception on June 7, 2025 from 5 to 8 pm, and concludes on July 6. The Gallery of Hermosa (GOH) is located at 138 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Beach, CA, 90254.

Tim Truby describes his image as follows: “The arched aqueduct supports of an ancient Kyoto temple are reminiscent of the nested layeris found in Buddhist mandalas -- and transcendent in their own way. They can remind us of how many situations in life are doorways into something greater.”

Jim Knauf’s Milky Way image “… stretches across the starry sky over Queen Valley in Joshua Tree National Park.” He describes his moonlight and lightning image as a “Dramatic distant lightning storm framed by mountains, clouds, and moonlit Ocotillo tree and desert floor.”
