Jim Knauf Award Winning Image in Aviation Week

PADA member Jim Knauf has won First Place in the Space category of Aviation Week & Space Technology’s Annual Photo Contest 2025. His image In the Flow and other winning images are available online here, and will appear in print in the December 8-21 issue of the magazine.

To quote Aviation Week: “The SpaceX Falcon 9 payload fairing, booster stage and thruster gases are visible inside the flow of exhaust as the second state ascends on its way to insert 26 satellites into orbit. The launch of Starlink 15-9 from Vandenberg SFB was photographed from Rancho Palos Verdes, California”
