Visit to Uta Barth Exhibition

On Saturday February 11 members of PADA and their guests went to the Getty Center to see the Uta Barth exhibition, which is on view from November 15, 2022–February 19, 2023. Her photographic work is exceptional, making for a wonderful field trip.

As the Getty says on their website, “In her multipart works, she explores the ephemeral qualities of light and its ability to overwhelm and entirely destabilize human vision. In certain series, the repetition of motifs—including aspects of her home—creates a rhythm that suggests movement, carrying viewers from one image to the next. Barth also highlights photography’s abiding connection to the passage of time with her sequential images captured at intervals over a particular period.”
