Lynn Doran Juried into “Something Like Joy” at Decagon

PADA photographer Lynn Doran has been juried into Something Like Joy, an online exhibition presented by Decagon. Lynn is a member of the Photographic and Digital Artists group of the Palos Verdes Art Center. Two of her images were selected for the show.

Billed as "the happiness that leaves you off guard," the exhibition gathers photographs from around the world that explore joy in many forms, including humor, connection, imagination, and everyday moments. The show was juried by Aline Smithson.

Lynn's selections come from her travels in southern Ethiopia. Smiles was made in the Omo Valley in 2013, and Dancing in the Sun was taken in the Omo Delta in 2019. Both capture the kind of unguarded happiness the exhibition celebrates.

Something Like Joy is on view online from October 7 through December 7, 2026. Congratulations, Lynn! PADA members and friends are encouraged to visit the exhibition.
