PADA Joins PVAC's 95th Anniversary Celebration
On the weekend of October 3 and 4, 2026, the Palos Verdes Art Center (PVAC) celebrated its 95th Anniversary Open House. PADA, a member group of PVAC, took part with an information table and a display of member photography.
Framed prints from PADA members filled the display panels, from misty forest waterfalls to dramatic portraits and moody black-and-white abstractions. A screen at the table showed a slideshow of member work, including Jim Knauf's Under a Sinking Sun. PADA members were on hand both days to answer questions about photography and about the group.
On Sunday, PADA added a free, hands-on photo booth in the Atrium. Visitors posed before a candlelit backdrop while a PADA member took their picture with the visitor's own smartphone, offering tips to improve the shot. A table of props, including colorful and dramatic hats, brought out plenty of smiles.
Thank you to the members who staffed the table and the booth, and to PVAC for the invitation. Happy 95th anniversary, PVAC!
