A Full House for The Summer Show 2026 Opening

A large crowd turned out July 18 for the opening reception of The Summer Show 2026 at the Palos Verdes Art Center, filling the galleries to celebrate the season's all-media juried exhibition.

As reported in an earlier post, nine PADA members were selected by juror Michael Davis for this year's show: Michael Cinnamond, Lynn Doran, Margie Rust, Patrick Smyth, John Stinson, Doug Magill, Tim Truby, Rodney Boone, and Reidar Schopp. Their work hangs alongside pieces from the Art Center's six other active artists groups, filling the galleries with a wide range of media and subject matter.

Conversation and congratulations filled the rooms as members mingled with friends, family, and fellow artists, many seeing their PADA colleagues' accepted work on the wall for the first time. The turnout reflected the strong community support The Summer Show draws each year.

The Summer Show 2026 continues through August 22 at the Art Center, 5504 Crestridge Road, Rancho Palos Verdes. Congratulations again to all nine PADA members on their well-deserved inclusion.
