Jim Knauf Earns Honorable Mention in The Fourth Dimension at Photo Art Pavilion

PADA member Jim Knauf has been awarded Honorable Mention in The Fourth Dimension: A Virtual Juried Photography Exhibit, a juried online exhibition presented by Photo Art Pavilion. His photograph, Starry Spin, Ryan Ranch, was selected from hundreds of submissions.

Fifty images were juried into the show, with just four receiving 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and Honorable Mention. The curated collection showcases photographers from 15 states across the US and two countries. The exhibition is online during October 2026 at the Photo Art Pavilion virtual gallery, and the gallery held a free virtual opening reception on Zoom on October 7.

Knauf captured this stark star trail image over roughly 90 minutes at Ryan Ranch, the adobe ruins of an 1896 homestead built by J.D. Ryan, who operated the Lost Horse Mine in what is now Joshua Tree National Park.

Congratulations to Jim, a member of the Photographic and Digital Artists group of the Palos Verdes Art Center. Fellow PADA member Lynn Doran was also juried into the same show with her photograph Let's Ride, as reported earlier. PADA members are encouraged to visit the exhibition and see both works among the selected images.
