J. Wimberg and R. Schopp Juried into SEXPOSITIVE at Gallery Three Six One
PADA members Jim Wimberg and Reidar Shopp have had images juried into SEXPOSITIVE: An Erotic Photography Group Show, which will be on view at Gallery Three Six One in San Pedro.
Jim Winberg had two silver gelatin prints accepted, Cheryl 5496-2 and Cheryl 5496-3, each 8" x 8". They are female nude studies, and are shown below.
Reidar Schopp had four images accepted, and are titled 6 Alone, 7 Solace, 10 Lovers and 11 Next Morning. Two of these are shown below.
The show was an open call to gather "bold, artfully rendered photographs exploring sexuality, desire, pleasure, and the erotic body," with work ranging from intimate portraiture to conceptual explorations of desire, kink, queer sexuality and bodily autonomy. Entries were reviewed non-anonymously by a jury panel for artistic merit and fit with the exhibition's curatorial direction.
SEXPOSITIVE runs September 12 through November 5 at Gallery Three Six One, 361 W. 7th Street in San Pedro. An opening reception takes place September 12 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. Congratulations to Jim and Reidar on this well-deserved recognition.
