Paul Anderson Earns Honorable Mention in High Rez: A Digital Art Show

PADA member Paul Anderson has had three images juried into High Rez: A Digital Art Show at the Escondido Arts Partnership, with his piece Mall Stairs 01 receiving an Honorable Mention.

Anderson builds multi-layered photographic mosaics from his own photographs, a process he has developed and refined over the past seven or eight years. The work combines roughly 1,500 lines of personally written Python software with Blender, an open-source 3D graphics program, to generate and render each finished image. Alongside Mall Stairs 01, the exhibition includes his images Hermosa Cyclery 01 and Sea Sprite 01.

High Rez embraces the full spectrum of digital expression, inviting artists to explore how pixels become presence and how digital tools continue to reshape what art can be. The show was juried by Larry Vogel and Stephen Burns.

High Rez: A Digital Art Show runs August 8 through September 4, with an opening reception on Saturday, August 8, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and awards presented at 5:30 PM. The gallery is located at 262 East Grand Avenue in Escondido. Congratulations, Paul, on this well-earned recognition!
